Create
Trust is crucial for any business interaction. Without it, your prospect’s wallet will remain zipped. If you create your own content and pack it with your original ideas, your followers will believe you have what they need.
Commenting and curating make people aware you exist. But creating wins them over for your business.
While writing your first post might be nerve-racking, it’s no big deal. If you’ve been consuming and curating other people’s posts, you know what good content looks like.
Original work typically are one of these types of posts:
Frameworks
Resources
Experiences (or stories)
I’ll break down each of them.
Frameworks
A framework is how you do or think about something. For example, my SIMPLE Online Business Model is the framework of my business ideas.
Once you have discovered your unique way of performing a task or process, this becomes your intellectual property. And if you put it into a framework, you’ll anchor yourself in your audience's brain.
Here’s my FRAME for creating frameworks:
If your FRAME works, you have a framework you can share.
F - Formulate a process
R - Refine into simple steps
A - Account for the number of steps
M - Make an Acronym
E - Explain with a Visual
(Do you see what I did there?)
FRAME is obviously not the only strategy for creating a framework, but it is the easiest one I know. Alternatively, you could make a roadmap or expound a philosophy—for example, the 80/20 rule.
Whatever you choose, make sure your followers understand you master your topic.
