Secret to Getting Your Book to Be an Amazon #1 Bestseller
Woke up this morning to my new book debuting as an Amazon #1 bestseller.
This is my 15th Amazon bestseller. (out of 25 books)
Let me share how I do it and more importantly how you can too.
1. Choose a book topic you have some experience/authority in
2. Have a unique point of view/hook
3. Write a mini book in under 30 days
4. Use Publisher Rocket to Choose a relevant but less competitive category.
5. Put it up for pre-order
6. Push the book to your email and social lists, family etc.
7. Wake up a best selling author
Why this works is all your pre-order sales count as sales on the day your book is released. (as well as when they happen throughout pre-order... Double bonus!)
The longer the pre-order period and more you promote the book the higher likelihood you'll have more sales than any other book in your category.
For example my category is Writing and Publishing (Business Aspects).
I chose this because it was relevant and because I only needed to make a dozen or so sales to become a bestseller.
So there the secrets out, this is what people with lots of bestsellers are often doing (well sometimes they buy their own book to. but that's a story for another day).
Last thing, the smaller your list, the longer your pre-order should be.
I put it up for pre-order 4 days ago but my previous book I did over a month long pre-order and got 196 book sales to hit on opening day!

I've never tried a pre-sale, but you've convinced me to try. Anything I should know about the process or is it really straightforward?
